I believe in the power of 3’s. I had two big goals for 2022 on my vision board, but they were in the vein of taking care of my clients. I knew I needed ONE more, and it had to be for me.
Owning your own business is definitely a labor of love, and being able to incorporate what fills me up inside into my work is a huge perk of the job.
And so I added my third goal:
“Enjoy Collaborative & Styled Shoots. Foster Branding for Women. Create Two Partnerships”
Even though I didn’t know exactly what shape this goal would take, I knew that I wanted to incorporate the space for creativity and play, for creating my own vision through the lens, and for raising up women right alongside me.
It wasn’t until…
I had coffee with one of my clients (turned friend), Chelsea Roessler, Director of marketing and events at The Corners of Brookfield, that this seed was planted.
As soon as I voiced my goal aloud she looked at me and said “I’m in.” From there, we got out our notebooks and excitedly started planning.
The result was a styled summer shoot that featured our network of local female business owners, models and vendors. Everybody who contributed to that day in June brought positive energy. They showed up ready to play and enjoy the waterfront location, the clothes, the jewelry, the libations and each other.

Living the Dream
Do you have an idea that has been glimmering in your mind for awhile? For me, writing it into a goal was step 1. Next, voicing it out loud enabled it to take shape and pull in key partners.
By the time shoot day came, it was amazing to be living the vision!
